Nuance Dragon Dictate for Mac Description:
To ensure the best experience using Mac OSX, this Nuance Dragon Dictate for Mac was built from scratch. Nuance Dragon Dictate provides exemplary features to the Mac including but not limited to responsive medical edition which ropes around 54 dental as well as overall medical specializations, and a refined legal edition which specifically includes a special language model feature to help one attain perfection and utmost accuracy when using dictations on legal terms. They also have an international edition that supports English, French, German and Italian. MacSpeech Scribe transcribes text from spoken-word recordings made on your Mac, digital recorder or iPhone to capture thoughts when you’re away from your desk.
The last version of Nuance Dragon Dictate is similar to the latest version, but has several small changes, but one very important feature was added to the program. Dragon Dictate has something they call the “golden rule”, this means that you cannot dictate and edit using the keyboard. But now you can just ignore this rule because the new program has a built-in notepad, in other applications you still cannot dictate and edit at the same time, like Microsoft Word.
The golden rule can be violated now by Microsoft Word 2011 by the use of Dragon Dictate 2.5 but this feature has been available and running with Nuance’s program on windows, although this specific feature was not readily available to Mac clients before. This is also the same feature that is not included in the previous version of Dragon Dictate.
When you use the new version, you will feel that the accuracy has changed for the better and this is the best performance for Mac users. There is also a slider where you have the option to choose if you want the program to prioritize accuracy or speed in the programs recognition preferences. If you drag it all the way to the end part of accuracy end, typing will be a lot slower but accuracy will be excellent. When you go to the end of speed range, you will notice that accuracy is less precise and defined but words immediately appeared on the screen every time you pause; which is a good feature. Nonetheless, some disturbing errors would always appear such as: Dragon Dictate would singularly type “and” when you say “end”. This can be solved by automatically adjusting the slider setting to the center; which makes this scheme work efficiently.
