Why You Need to Use Auslogics BoostSpeed
Auslogics BoostSpeed is everything you need in order to maintain and optimize your PC. This software allows you to clean and repair any damages within your system in order to make it function like you just bought it yesterday.
The Auslogics BoostSpeed comes with a long list of features:
- Cleans up your Windows registry
- Speeds up the defragmentation of your hard drive
- Makes way for more disk space
- Restores and recovers files that were accidentally deleted
- Increases the speed of your Internet connection
Every user experiences a slow computer once in a while. With this software, you are given access to functionalities such as the Disk Doctor, which helps you regain data from your previous files from a certain restore point. You are also provided with Disk Explorer, which is created in order to track down how much space your computer is currently using. Both of these tools are perfect to those who are conscious when it comes to how they are using their computers.
Overall, computers must be taken care of in order to experience its numerous benefits. With Auslogics BoostSpeed you are guaranteed a fast, reliable and, most of all, non-cluttered way of using your computer.
Auslogics BoostSpeed 6 is an umbrella program that contains a host of system utilities applications all geared at improving the performance of your computer. Perhaps the most recognisable of its application functions, especially to those new to such software, would be its Disk Defragmenter. Of course, since most operating systems come bundled with a disk defragmenter, one might wonder why one would need an external one. The answer is efficacy.
We tend to think of Windows operating systems as ones that naturally incorporate a disk defrag application, but earlier Windows iterations actually had no such application. The earliest possible defrag tool coming with an operating system was IBM’s, with its PC DOS. This would have been the granddaddy of all defrag tools, showing up as early as 1982.
This shows you that fragmentation has always been an issue when it comes to disks and read-write operations. What might not be as readily apparent here, though, is that some defragmenters function more efficiently than others. Auslogics BoostSpeed 6 offers this sort of superior defragmenting tool, along with a huge list of other utilities and modules that stand to bring up your computer’s performance to the level you want it to be.
Auslogics has long been known for their excellent Disk Defrag tool, and with BoostSpeed 6, you get an integrated version of it in the bundle. With this disk defragmenter, you won’t need to wait ages for the defrag process any longer due to its ultra-fast processing.
The Tweak Manager helps you make all those little adjustments in various programs that can add up to big differences in your computer’s performance. And because there’s a Tweak Rating for every option, you know just how much each possible modification matters in your goal of getting a faster system.
A professional File Shredder gives you the ability to permanently delete sensitive files or data on your computer. After all, deleting data on a disk only means getting rid of references to it: the data itself remains and is still technically retrievable. With AusLogic’s File Shredder, there’s no chance of someone getting hold of your personal data: you can shred files quickly for basic protection or even opt for military-grade deletion.
One of the core tools of the software is the Startup Manager. This utility lets you inspect all the programs that run immediately when your computer boots up, letting you manage which ones should be kept on and which should be disabled or removed from the list. This shaves precious seconds off boot time. It even indicates which applications may be dangerous.
The Service Manager further frees up system resources by letting you know which services are running in the background, what they are doing, and which ones it recommends that you stop or disable based on your usage.
The System Information module is a useful tool that gives you truly in-depth, comprehensive information about every part of your computer, from the hardware down to the drivers and programs on it. This makes troubleshooting and repair easier whenever something doesn’t work the way it should.
The Auslogics Browser Manager is for those who have difficulty managing their browsers. It makes it easier to see toolbars and add-ons as well as manage or remove them for a speedier browsing experience. It also lets you change your homepage and default browser in practically one click.
The Rescue Center makes rollbacks easier too if you find one of the BoostSpeed changes to be undesirable.
Not your average task manager, the Task Manager tool not only lets you track system resource usage and running processes but also permits you to specify priorities in your process list, allowing for more effective distribution of computer resources. That means that the tasks most important to you get more juice and are more likely to finish first during multitasking sessions.
The Uninstall Manager does more than let you uninstall programs too: it actually provides information on which programs are least used as well as which programs are most likely to be spyware or adware.
The Internet Optimizer lets you inspect your connection data and settings to see where tweaks could be made to improve it. While more experienced users would enjoy the manual module, most would be fine with the automated optimization process, which often proves just as effective.
A Duplicate File Finder does exactly what its name suggests. This way, you can cut down on redundancies in your system.
The Disk Explorer is for when you want an easy way of seeing your disk’s contents in a chart. It helps you monitor how much space goes to what folder and which folders take up the most space.
You also get a File Recovery tool to help you undelete items you think were mistakenly deleted. Because the tool gives you a preview even while browsing deleted items, you can be sure that what you’re restoring is the right item.
And if you ever need to wipe completely clean all the traces of already deleted files from your system, you can use the Disk Wiper for a total removal of that data.
Comparing Auslogics Boostspeed 6 to Windows Disk Defragmenter
The Windows Disk Defragmenter comes bundled with Windows operating systems nowadays and while it is certainly a respectable defrag tool, it still does not have the convenience and speed of Auslogic’s BoostSpeed. BoostSpeed’s defrag tool is markedly faster as well as more efficient in that it does not slow down system performance or other functions during operation, as opposed to the Windows version which can sometimes get in the way of performance. BoostSpeed also has vastly more functions, all packed into one tidy, easy-to-use bundle.
- Lets you have all your system utilities in a single module
- 15-day trial for the undecided has no strings attached
- Rolling back changes is easy
- Most programs (especially Disk Cleaner, Disk Doctor, Registry Cleaner, and Disk Defragmenter) are not just effective but faster than most other competing utilities on the market
- Most tools do not interfere with the performance of the computer during multitasking operations
- Tweak Manager is easy to use
- Registry Defrag is terrifically speedy
- Items marked “dangerous” by the Startup Manager have no indicator as to their importance
- Tweak Manager requires manual adjustments
- Registry Defrag requires a reboot to finish
Auslogics BoostSpeed 6 is an excellent packet of system utilities, even if a lot of these tools do have free counterparts that could be cobbled together if money is a problem. Still, the fact that you get to access all of these utilities—several of which are far better than the competition—from a single module is undeniably convenient and something you do learn to appreciate after a while.
Several of the tools also stand out due to their speed. Both the Disk Defrag and Registry Cleaner, for instance, are almost ludicrously easy at doing their jobs. In fact, BoostSpeed’s tools are superbly fast, on the whole, and if only for that deserve praise.
